Joanne joined VMA Group as a senior consultant in the external communications practice in 2010. She comes to the recruitment business having worked in travel and hospitality for over 20 years in Asia, North America and the United Kingdom. Her experience includes senior roles in public relations and communications at a corporate level in the hotel industry as well as with PR and marketing agencies. Her former roles include Corporate Director of Communications and Regional Director of Public Relations for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, and senior managerial positions with The New York Palace Hotel, KTA Public Relations and Hume Whitehead. Her client experience includes The Islands of The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, Tenerife Tourism Corporation and the Singapore Tourism Board.
